Vision Statement

The mission of the Wilmington Memorial Library is to enrich the community by providing access to intellectual, cultural and recreational resources to all citizens.

Library Mission Statement

  1. Wilmington will be a town that provides something for everyone.
  2. Wilmington will have inviting and well maintained public spaces.
  3. Wilmington residents will feel a sense of civic pride maintained by a progressive attitude and high expectations.
  4. Wilmington will be a town that values education, diversity and its historical heritage.
  5. Wilmington will remain a family oriented community where residents have opportunities to interact and build relationships through a diverse array of social and cultural institutions.
  6. They (residents) will be well-informed ----and take advantage of opportunities to participate in ----a well managed town government where decisions are made in accordance with planning policies identified in a current master plan that has broad community support.
