Wilmington Memorial Library garnered three Public Relations awards at the Massachusetts Library Association Conference on April 25. The library won first place in the newsletter category, second place in the web site category and third place in the bookmark category. The Massachusetts Library Association also presented  five scholarships for first time attendees to the annual conference. Joanna Breen, WML Marketing Librarian, won a scholarship to attend the three day conference April 24 to April 26 at the Hyatt in Cambridge. 

Congratulations to Nam Tran, the winner of the free drawing for the Kindle e-reader! Everyone who showed their library card during National Library Week was entered in the drawing.

Congratulations to the winners of the library's Annual Poetry Contest!

Show your library card during National Library Week (April 14 -April 20)  and enter a free raffle for an e-reader (purchased by the Friends of the Library)! If you do not have a library card, now is a good time to sign up! Just bring identification showing your Wilmington address.

Vinko Petrovic, the winner of the Chocolate Gift Basket, picks up his prize with his daughter Ana.  Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket!  All proceeds benefit the library.

Effective April 1, 2013, the library will begin charging a $5.00 fee when museum passes are not picked up or cancelled by noon on the reserved date. When a pass is not picked up or cancelled, this prevents others from reserving or checking out the pass. Passes may be cancelled online (after the first 24 hours from the time it was reserved) or by phone during the library's regular business hours. We hope that this fee will serve as a reminder to cancel reserved museum passes that cannot be used, thereby allowing more residents to use the library's museum passes.

Congratulations to Diane Bryce, the winner of the Brownie Bake off contest.  Here is the recipe for Oreo Peanut Butter Brownies with Marshmellow Fluff Icing. The second place winner is the MacGilvray Girls, the third place winner is Elizabeth Mullett.  Thanks to all twenty brownie bake off bakers who entered the contest. 

 The library has received the following state income tax forms:  Massachusetts Resident and Massachusetts Nonresident Income Tax Forms; You can also print these forms at the Department of Revenue website.

The library has the following federal income tax forms: 1040 EZ  and 1040 EZ Instructions; 1040 and 1040A forms, Schedule B, Interest and Ordinary Dividends, and Schedule EIC Earned Income Credit. You will find other federal tax forms and instructions that you can print on the IRS website.
