Local History

The library’s Town Crier newspaper site is now only accessible from inside the library, via the public computers or over the wireless. This is only a temporary measure, and we hope to have the site available to all users (outside the library) by August.

To access the site inside the library, simply go to any public computer (or use a laptop over the wireless connection), go to the Research and Learning page, and click “Local newspapers (in the library only)."

Issues of the Wilmington Town Crier from 2011 are now available online. Visit http://localhistory.wilmlibrary.org to search articles or browse by issue date.

Thanks to the Boston Public Library and Internet Archive, Gerry O'Reilly's Wilmington history books are now available online. Titles include Silver Lake and Wilmington: A Retrospective. Click here to view the complete collection.
