The Book Store Next Door has resumed its Wednesday hours. It is now open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm. Stop by and shop for a great selection of gently used books and other media at bargain prices. Donations of your gently used books are welcome during these hours. All proceeds benefit the library.

Download music, read or write fanfic, make movies, check out an ipad: there are plenty of ways to win prizes, and a month to do it in. Have fun!

Effective April 1, 2013, the library will begin charging a $5.00 fee when museum passes are not picked up or cancelled by noon on the reserved date. When a pass is not picked up or cancelled, this prevents others from reserving or checking out the pass. Passes may be cancelled online (after the first 24 hours from the time it was reserved) or by phone during the library's regular business hours. We hope that this fee will serve as a reminder to cancel reserved museum passes that cannot be used, thereby allowing more residents to use the library's museum passes.

The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners is investigating the creation of a new statewide library card program, and we would like to know your thoughts. In keeping with the spirit of "Everything Chocolate" during February, the Friends of the Library have put together a Chocolate Gift Basket. The basket not only contains a variety of chocolate treats but also a $100 Williams Sonoma gift card, a $25 Godiva gift card and a $25 Lindt gift card plus two chocolate cook books. Tickets are for sale for $2 each or 3 for $5. The winner will be drawn on March 1st.
