Memoir Writing Workshop
November 7th, 2013 7:00 PM - 8:44 PM

This is a 5-week workshop.  Workshop dates are Thursdays 11/7, 11/14, 11/21, 12/5, 12/12 at 7 pm. For ages 16+.   Everyone has a story to tell.  Here's your opportunity to capture episodes and stories from your life to share with your family. In this five-week class, participants will explore stories from their own past, and write down during our time together. Our ultimate goal will be to create a "Family Storybook," that you can give to beloved family members. Bring a pen and notebook and absolutely no writing experience required! We'll help you put your memories to paper.

This workshop is led by Sally Cragin. Sally is a longtime columnist for the Phoenix newspapers (Portland, Providence and formerly Boston), and an award-winning arts writer whose reviews and features have appeared in the Boston Globe, St. Louis Riverfont Times,  Yankee Magazine, American History, Parenting, and many other magazines. Her short plays have been produced in New York City (Love Creek Productions), Provincetown and throughout Massachusetts. She has also worked as a script doctor for playwrights whose work has been performed in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the West End (London) and the American Repertory Theatre. She has also taught writing at Harvard Extension School, Webster University (St. Louis) and can be heard every weekend on WCRN-830 AM commenting on arts/entertainment.
