China: an uneasy relationship

Robert S. Ross, Professor of Political Science at Boston College and Associate, John King Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies, Harvard University, will talk about the economic and security challenges that China presents to the United States as a "rising power." He will also address the current issues in Chinese politics and economics and the difficulties faced by the new Chinese leadership. Professor Ross will also touch on the current problems in U.S.-China relations, including issues in territorial disputes in Asia, the U.S. growing military and diplomatic attention to Asia, and the prospects for stability.
