The library offers a variety of drop-in and registration storytime programs. Storytimes help build a foundation for a lifelong love of books and reading. Kids will enjoy age appropriate books, songs, rhymes, movement activities and more!
The library offers six-week registration storytime sessions during the fall, winter and spring for babies, toddlers, and 3, 4 and 5 year olds.
Dates for the 2013-14 year
Session 1: Week of September 9 – Week of October 14 (Registration began August 12)
Session 2: Week of November 4 – Week of December 9 (Registration began October 7)
Session 3: Week of January 6 – Week of February 10 (Registration began December 10)
Session 4: Week of March 3 – Week of April 14 (Registration began February 3)
All of the Session 4 storytime sessions are full; please call 978-694-2098 to get on a waitlist
Storytimes offered are:
Baby Times (Wednesdays or Thursdays, 9:30-10 am)
This program of songs, rhymes, games and picture books is for babies under the age of two years and their caregivers. Siblings are welcome to participate if caregivers cannot attend without them.
Storytime for Four and Five Year Olds (Tuesdays, 10:30-11:00 am)
This storytime is designed to be a "kid-only" program. If necessary, the caregiver may accompany the child during the early sessions.
Preschool Storytime (Wednesdays, 10:30 am)
This program is for preschoolers and their parents and caregivers.
Drop in Storytimes
The drop-in programs are geared toward kids ages 2-6 and one or more adults.
Morning Storytime (Fridays, 10 am, beginning January 3)
PJ Storytime (Mondays, 6:45 pm, monthly)
Family Storytimes (Saturdays, monthly)
Storytimes will be cancelled on days the Wilmington Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather.
