The Wilmington Memorial Library is a member of the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium (MVLC), which is an alliance of 35 public libraries serving the Greater Merrimack Valley region of Massachusetts.
Our online catalog reflects the holdings of the consortium. If you wish to request an item you find in the online catalog, whether it is in Wilmington or at another library, simply click on the "Request Item" button. You will be asked to enter your library card number (doing so using no spaces) and your pin number (the last four digits of your phone number given at the time of registration). Requested items usually arrive within a week unless there is a wait list. You will be notified either by telephone or by email notification when the item is available for pickup. If you need the item immediately, it is recommended that you visit the library that has the item on shelf rather than placing a request.
It is also possible to obtain books from Massachusetts libraries in other networks. The Virtual Catalog allows you to search multiple online catalogs simultaneously and place requests for books not available in MVLC. Requests for books not owned by MVLC libraries may take six weeks or longer to arrive.
