My name is Brandy Danner, and I’m the Teen Librarian
here at the Wilmington Memorial Library. I get to plan programs for teens,
host events, and buy books (and magazines and movies and all that good
stuff) for the Teen Zone collection. I can even help find answers to any
questions you might have or suggest new books to read!
A little bit about me: I read pretty widely, so even if I did buy only the kinds of books I like, there would still be a varied collection! I particularly like comics and graphic novels, and while I don’t know much about manga, I read a lot of American and European comics and plan to add more to the collection. Non-manga comics aren’t all superheroes, and while I do love my Batman, there’s plenty of stuff out there that isn’t all caped crusader-y.
I also like to plan out events and programs—things like book discussions, games, even yummy make-your-own food prep events! But my ideas aren’t going to be enough, so I want to hear from you. Stop by the Teen Zone on the second floor of the library or chat with me anytime with the window below or through your own chat program*, and tell me what sort of things you’d like to do.
